ALL IS POETRY

 

 

   it is almost impossible

   now

   to write

   the lyric way

   to catch in words

   events of the day

   for now

   all of life and livingness

   is a poem

 

   the beauty of the rose

   the inner universe of beingness

   once

   I would have tried to put to words

   but now

   the sense of

   "this is a poem"

   never leaves--

      a child's play

      a woman's walk

      a light in alley ways

      the way people talk

   are all poems

 

   what need have I to write?
