SUNDANCE
An awareness
that considers itself to be
a mountain --
rock and snow
birch and willow
eagle and fawn
Today
at sunset
The awareness reached out
to enclose
rain laiden clouds
singing in an autumn sky . . .
Spirit fingers touch cloud masses
tuck and pull
Cloud shapes made and unmade
for pleasure
See how I catch the color!
I am the cloud
I float on air
warm cold
rise fall
quick!
fluff here
to catch that pink!
In the gathering cold and darkness
I condense to rain
sudden hail
I fall
to strike
with splash
in duck pool
Now I am
a duck
darting fish
a reed
croaking frog
I am muddy earth
I strike
With I hail
which falls
From
I cloud
Touched by
I color
I am
And I Know.
