SOLEMN DANCE OF JOY

 

         In the final days

         In the days of this world's death

         We will dance

         A dance

         Of solemnity

            Slow and measured

            A dreamer's breath

         Toes will touch

         The graveyard earth

         With reverence

            Slow and measured

            A dream

            Of deliverance

         In those quiet final days

         In those days

         Of poet's short rest

         Before the beginning

         Of our next universe

            We will dance

         A solemn dance of joy

            Praising the best

            Of this world's construction

            And blessing with a kiss

            Its destruction

         A dream of resurrection

            Slow and measured

         We will dance

         A dance

         Of solemnity.
